GENDUSA
DESTREHAN – Annie C. Gendusa, a resident of LaPlace, died July 16.
She was the wife of the late Nick Gendusa, and mother of Sarah Ann king, Frances Massa, Rosemarie Palmisano, Patricia Lynn Stewart and Frank Gendusa.
She was also the sister of Felicie Catanzaro, Mary Bader, Lena Leggio, and the late Mike and Nick Catanzaro.
She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were July 20, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.
McDOWELL
LAFAYETTE – Arthur Gene McDowell, 70, a native of Tyler, Texas, died July 17.
He was the husband of 46 years of Ellen Smith McDowell and father of Nancy Ouahdi and Stuart McDowell.
He was also the son of the late William and Ruth McDowell, and brother of the late Robert and Donald McDowell.
He is also survived by six grandchildren.
He was a retired banker with 45 years experience, including serving as president of Riverland Bank in LaPlace. He also served as president of People’s Bank in New Iberia, Teche Bank in St. Martinville and Mississippi Bank in Port Gibson, Miss.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict and was also a Mason and a Shriner.
Memorial services are today at 2 p.m., at Asbury Methodist Church, Lafayette.
ZERINGUE
DESTREHAN – Jeanne G. Zeringue, 93, a resident of Destrehan, died July 18.
She was the wife of the late Hampden J. Zeringue, and mother of Sylvia Lambert, Lynn, Donald and Hampden Zeringue Jr.
She was also the daughter of the late Orvillian Guillot and Louise Fremin, and sister of the late Marie Sareussen, Eugenia Krebs, Lydia Munson, Percy, Robert, Claude, George and David Guillot.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were July 20 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.
