Handgun found at Reserve disturbance

LAPLACE – An alleged disturbance with guns was broken up by St. John Parish sheriff’s deputies, and a handfun was reported found at the scene, according to Capt. Michael Tregre.
Deputies Brad Arceneaux and Pete Luna were sent Monday night to a large, crowd in the 8800 block of Houma Drive in Reserve.The deputies arrested Davin M. Adams, 20, of 8874 Houma Drive; and Timothy Gauff, 18, of 113 Historic West St., Garyville. Each were charged with disturbing the peace by fighting.Adams was treated for a cut to the head and each were transported to the parish jail. There, Gauff was found to have a .32-caliber round in his possession, according to Tregre.Upon further investigation, Lt. Clarence Gray discovered a live round and an empty casing at the address, as well as a bullet hole in the garage door and the matching handgun. With this information, Gauff was further charged with aggravated battery and illegal discharge of a handrun, Tregre said.
