GRAMERCY – Ruth Usey Brignac, 66, a native of Thibodaux and a resident of Gramercy, died Nov. 27.
She was the wife of the late Norris A. Brignac.
She is survived by her children “Rocky”, “Tiger”, “Shorty”, Dale and Mark Brignac and Debra Bourgeois.
She is also survived by her siblings Daniel and Earl Usey and Wilma U. Melancon, Janice U. Deshotel and Carol Ann U. Delcambre, 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Jr. and Cecilia Malbrough Usey, and siblings Sidney and Charles Usey Jr., Amy U. Lassaigne, Dorothy U. Landry and Peggy U. Chaisson.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
Rose Lynn Funeral Services of Lutcher are in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 8 a.m. at the funeral home.
FRITZ
WAGGAMAN – Dorothy Fritz, 74, a native of Lockport and a resident of Waggaman, died Nov.21.
She was the daughter of the late Blanche and Louis Penney.
She is survived by her children Victor Fritz Jr., David Fritz and Betty Brandon.
She is also survived by her siblings Doris Boudreaux, Rita Barrios, Joyce Melancon and Ethel Hynyub, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by siblings Mabel, William, Walter and Milton Penney.
Services were held Nov. 28 at Falgout Funeral Homes, Raceland, with interment in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.
JOSEPH
AMA – Roosevelt “Twenty” Joseph Jr., 51, a native and resident of Ama, died Nov. 21.
He was the son of Shirley Geason and Roosevelt Joseph Sr.
He is survived by his siblings Betty Geason-Rainey, Patricia G. Rose, Wade Anthony, Keith and Ken Joseph.
He is also survived by nieces and nephews Todd Geason, Holly G. Carson, Tracy Rose, LaDonna and Dariyan Harrice and Khamecha Knight, great-niece Kyra Carson, niece-in-law Regina Geason, aunts and uncles Dorothy Hensley, Gloria Simmons, Charles Smith, Milton and Percy Geason, Edward Joseph, Mack Coleman and Henry Joseph, brother-in-law Lester Rainey Sr. and Martez Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his son Christopher Joseph.
Services were held Nov. 29 at Robottom Mortuary, Hahnville, with interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Ama.
MILLET
MONTZ – John Sidney Millet, 43, a native of Montz and a resident of Baton Rouge, died Nov. 26.
He was the son of Betty Ward Millet and the late Sidney Maurice Millet Jr.
He is survived by his siblings Susan (Bruce) Badeaux and Carolyn (Joseph) Maples.
Services were held Nov. 28 at the Millet-Guidry Funeral Home Chapel, LaPlace, with interment in St. Peter Church Cemetery, Reserve.
MONTZ
DESTREHAN – Anna Migliore Montz, 78, a native of New Sarpy and a resident of Destrehan, died Nov. 28.
She was the wife of Harold C. Montz Sr.
She is survived by her children Harold (Jeannette) Montz Jr. and Cynthia “Cindy” (Robert) Montz Bordelon.
She is also survived by her granddaughters Alison B. Nolan and Robyn Bordelon and niece Mona Loisel.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Rose
