EDGARD – Lavell Minese Davis, 29, died in a car accident June 21.

She is survived by parents Wanda Reed and Joseph Davis.

She is also survived by sisters Melanie and Tiffany

Also survived by grandfather Richard Bartley and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Audrey Cannon Reed Bartley, Ivory Reed, Millie Mae Thomas and Joseph Davis, Sr.

Services were held June 30 at Canaan Baptist Church with interment in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetary in Edgard.

Robottom Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

LOCKE

LAPLACE – Douglas Locke, 74, a resident of LaPlace for 40 years, died June 29. He was the husband of Mary Locke.

He is survived by children Ronnie Locke and Becky Forsythe.

He is also survived by sister Vera Norris, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by son Jimmy Locke.

Services were held July 2 at Millet Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace with interment in St. John Memorial Gardens.

McTOPY

LAPLACE – Marjorie M aurin M cTopy, 88, a native of Reserve and resident of LaPlace for 68 years, died June 30.

She was the wife of the late John McTopy, and mother of John II and Brian McTopy, and the late Joel M cTopy.

She was also the daughter of the late Louis and Emma LeBrun Maurin, and sister of Elaine Delaneuville, Marie Therese Montz, and the late Louis Jr. and LeBrun Maurin, Gloria Oubre and Jo-Anne &#8220Jody” Montz.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services were held July 3 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
