EDGARD – Olga Pierre “Sister” Borne, 85, a native and resident of Edgard, died Feb. 4.
She was the wife of the late Norman Borne Sr.
She is survived by her children Gail Becnel, Chermaine (Donnie) Roybiskie, Dolores (Leonard) Sorapuru, Roy Michael (Cynthia) Borne, Catherine Gray, Lloyd Mark (Valerie) Borne, Kurt (Trudy) Borne and Hilton (Tammy) Borne.
She is also survived by her siblings Corrine Burrell, Raymond and Leon Pierre, 28 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and godchild Angelle Sterling.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roscoe and Mathilde Pierre, son Norman Borne Jr., siblings Roscoe Jr., Lloyd, Louis, Rollins Pierre, Bernice Borne and Lois Sterling.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment in the church cemetery.
The Baloney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. and recitation of the rosary begins at 10 a.m. at the church.
GEORGE
LUTCHER – Lois Poret George, 78, a native of Mansura and a resident of Lutcher, died Feb. 4.
She was wife of the late Chalmus “C.M.” George.
She is survived by her children Thomas “Tommy” George, Juanita George Duhe and Robin George Growl.
She is also survived by a brother Leonce Poret, nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Linus Poret and Leticia Nucere Poret, a daughter Karen G. Milazzo and siblings Herman and Annison “Dick” Poret, Gladys Cox and Rita Nilsen.
Services were held Feb. 7 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with interment in the church cemetery.
LEBOEUF
GARYVILLE – Cyril LeBoeuf Sr., 78, a native of Convent and a resident of Garyville, died Feb. 1.
He was the husband of Lee Ann Ellis LeBoeuf.
He is survived by Cyril, Minister Cynthia Jean, Dana and Shane LeBoeuf, Patrice Burfict, Minister Stacy Fears, Dainelle and Terrance Vaughn, Michelle Green, Nedra Craighead, Adrian and Emanuel Albert, Yolanda Smith and Shyvette Williams.
He is also survived by two sisters, one brother, 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Angele LeBoeuf and a son Cedric LeBoeuf.
Services were held Feb. 7 at Greater New Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Garyville, with interment in Zion Travelers Cemetery, Reserve.
MADERE
LAPLACE – Robert J. “Bobby” Madere, 63, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Feb. 4.
He was the son of the late Clancy and Margaret Madere.
He is survived by his brother Clancy D. Madere.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Douglas, James, Michael and Katherine Madere and Deborah Acosta.
Services were held Feb. 7 at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
MILIOTO
LAPLACE – John Michael Milioto, 56, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Feb. 3. He was the son of Michael J. and Rita Perilloux Milioto and brother of Mark and Dominic Milioto.
He is also survived by his niece Misty and nephew Mitch Milioto.
Services are today at 10 a.m., in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.
RIXNER
MT. AIRY – Godfrey Rixner Sr., 84, a native and resident of Mt. Airy, died Jan. 25.
He was the son of the late Julius and Maggie Williams Rixner.
He is survived by his children Godfrey Jr., Delton, Donald, Michael Sr., Clay, Clyde, Kenneth Murray, Keith, Lionel and Danny Ray Rixner and Michelle Warren.
He is also survived by seven sisters, six brothers, daughters and son-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 31 at St. John Baptist Church, Mt. Airy, with interment in Zion Travelers Cemetery, Reserve.
ROUSSEL
PAULINA – Freddie Adam Roussel Sr., 78, a resident of Paulina, died Feb. 5.
He was the husband of Mildred Lambert Roussel.
He is survived by his children Verlin (Chris) Montz, Deborah Hutchinson, Sherrel (Thomas) Engel, Karen (Johnny) Gautreaux, Peggy (Zephyrain) Vicknair, Freddie
(Bernadine) Jr., Jean Paul (Cheryl), Mickey (Tammy) and Harold (Melissa) Roussel.
He is also survived by his siblings James, Norris and Jean Roussel Jr., Lois Abadie, Yvonne Tabb and Elaine Roussel, 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jean “Pim” and Cecile Roussel, siblings LeRoy Roussel, Harry “Jumbo” Roussel, Felton Roussel, Verlin Roussel and Beverly Roussel, grandchildren Steve Kinler, Tabatha Kinler and Reva Roussel and a grandchild Randy Engel Jr.
Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, with interment in St. Joseph Mausoleum.
