After winning nine of their last ten, the Riverside Rebels entered the postseason with high hopes.

But an 8-0 bi-district loss to Pine Prairie last Thursday ends the Rebel season on a down note.

Bryant Tassin and Dylan Martin collected the only two Rebel hits of the day, as the usually potent Riverside (14-16-1) offense was silenced by Pine Prairie pitcher Brandon Guillory.

Guillory struck out the first two Rebel batters of the game, and finished up with eight.

Riverside’s Wade Delaneuville took the loss for Riverside.

Pine Prairie scored four runs in the first three innings to take control of the game. A three run fifth inning made it 6-0, and Guillory was able to coast from there, allowing only one hit the rest of the way.
