I’ve been privileged to serve in God’s ministry of Get High on Life. I pray that I will always be grateful for the honor and keep in mind that I’m but a trusted servant.

Since 1980, I have devoted my energies to helping people who are hurting and lonely in the River Parishes.

A ministry can only survive with the support of the people in the community. The people in the River Parishes have been exceedingly generous to the mission of Get High on Life. With that in mind, we try to give back to the communities that have been so generous.

Nine years ago, the committee of Get High on Life decided to host a prayer breakfast the day before the Super Bowl.

This Saturday, February 2, Get High on Life will host the ninth Family Prayer Breakfast, with the co-operation of the Lutcher Kaycees.

In conjunction with the Super Bowl this Sunday, the breakfast is billed as Super Bowl Saturday. Everyone is invited to attend.

The intention of the breakfast is to encourage men, women, and children to become active members of God’s team, promoting His Kingdom. Remember, the only victory that matters is a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus.

The breakfast will begin at 8 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2008, at the KC Home in Lutcher.

It’s promised to be a time of good fellowship, a hearty breakfast, with a message that could change your life.

Make plans to attend and bring a friend!
