Catholic Church holds Bingo night
St. John the Baptist, Catholic Church will be holding $10,000 Super Bingo on Tuesday, December 2. There will be giveaways and prizes. The event will be held at the St. Charles Room Bingo Hall on Hwy. 90 in Boutte, La. The doors will open at 5 p.m.
Turkey giveaway
Johnson Concrete & Construction, LLC will be giving away 100 Christmas trees and turkeys on November 22. The give away will be handled on a first come, first served basis. The location is: 405 Central Avenue in Reserve.
Thanksgiving trash pickup schedule
SWeeDee Solid Waste Disposal announces it’s holiday schedule change for garbage collection. St. John Parish, City of Donaldsonville and City of Scott: Garbage services scheduled for Thursday November 27, 2008 will be collected the following day, Friday November 28, 2008. Upcoming Christmas parade needs participants
Norco Christmas Parade looks for participants as it ‘Remembers Pearl Harbor…’
This year the Norco Christmas Parade rolls on Pearl Harbor Day, Sunday, December 7th, at 2:00 and to honor this event the theme of the parade will be ‘Norco Noel — Norco remembers Pearl Harbor.’
The sponsor of the parade, the Norco Civic Association, is once again looking for floats bands, marching groups, antique/classic cars and WWII Veterans as it ushers in the Christmas season for the River Parishes.
