LAPLACE — The St. John Sheriff’s Office sent a message on Saturday to fair-goers that the Andouille Festival will remain a family affair.
One fair-goer showed up on Saturday wearing a vulgar T-shirt with the “f” word being used, and promoting the use of marijuana.
It didn’t take St. John deputies long to get a complaint about the shirt, which was very visible to the many children at the fair. They quickly corralled the man and made it clear that either the shirt had to go, or he would go.
Fortunately, deputies reported there was no incident as the man turned his shirt inside out so the words couldn’t be viewed.
Handling the complaint were Col. Michael Boudreaux, and Deputies Jake Boudreaux and Brandon Mabile.
