Hurricane supplies checklist

Water

___ At least 1 gallon daily per person for 3 to 7 days

Food – at least enough for 3 to 7 days

___ non-perishable packaged or canned food / juices

___ foods for infants or the elderly

___ snack foods

___ non-electric can opener

___ cooking tools / fuel

___ small, charcoal BB___ grill

___ paper plates / plastic utensils

___ Blankets / Pillows, etc.

___ Clothing – seasonal / rain gear/ sturdy shoes

___ First Aid Kit / Medicines / Prescription Drugs

___ Special Items – for babies and the elderly

___ Toiletries / Hygiene items / Moisture wipes

___ Flashlight / Batteries

___ Radio – Battery operated and NOAA weather radio (Because of the conversion to digital broadcasting of television signals, battery-powered televisions will no longer be functional after June 12, 2009)

___ Telephones – Fully charged cell phone with extra battery and a traditional (not cordless) telephone set. Vehicle charger for cell phones

___ Cash (with some small bills) and Credit Cards – Banks and ATMs may not be available for extended periods

___ Keys

___ Toys, Books and Games

Important documents – in a waterproof container or watertight resealable plastic bag

___ bank account numbers

___ Social Security card

___ Tools – keep a set with you during the storm

___ Vehicle fuel tanks filled
