Olivieri

Audrey Reulet Lassen Olivieri, a native of Rosedale and resident of Gramercy, was born Aug. 5, 1923 and passed away Feb. 6, 2009. She was 85. Visitation and services were on Tuesday Feb. 10, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Gramercy. The burial following the mass was at Roselawn Cemetery on North Blvd. in Baton Rouge.

Miss Audrey was a 1944 graduate of St. Mary’s Dominican College with a degree in education. She began her teaching career in 1944 at Shady Grove in Rosedale. In 1956 she moved to St. James Parish where she taught for 27 years, most of those years at Paulina Elementary until her retirement in 1983.

Miss Audrey is survived by two daughters Debra St. Pierre, Gramercy, and Theresa Kinchen, Prairieville. Two sons-in-law Alvin “Shark” St. Pierre Jr., Gramercy, and Bolden “Bo” Kinchen, Prairieville. Three grandsons Casey St. Pierre, Scottsdale, Ariz., and Carey St. Pierre and Christopher St. Pierre, both of Gramercy. Three sisters Goldie Reulet Patrick, Metta Reulet Richard and Ethel Reulet Sexton. Two brothers-in-law George H. Sexton Jr. and M.G. Richard, both of Baton Rouge. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her first husband Clifford H. Lassen and second husband Louis E. “Bob” Olivieri. Her parents John Edward “Poppa Ed” and Marie Webre Reulet. Her sister Olga Reulet Rivet and husband Gillis and her brother Roy J. Reulet and wife Virginia. Brother-in-law T.E. “Pat” Patrick, brother Hugh Reulet and nephew James “Hugo” Glaser.
