Fire victims thankful for help and support

Our house caught fire on the morning of Tuesday, Sept. 7. Police were on the scene immediately followed rapidly by firefighters from all over our parish. It is because of their quick response and hard work that our losses were not more severe.

Though many things were lost, our pets were recovered alive along with soggy but intact photographs.

We remain impressed by the caliber of volunteers willing to drop everything and perform such a dangerous and demanding service. They are a credit to our community.

We would also like to express our many thanks to those people in the community that have been so supportive.

Friends, neighbors, and strangers have been overwhelmingly generous during this very difficult time. The outpouring of support has proven to us that we live in a wonderful community.
