LAPLACE — St. John the Baptist Parish officials said Tuesday that Saturday’s boil water order for all LaPlace residents served by the Ruddock well system has been lifted.

Parish officials said that a sample sent Monday to the Department of Health and Hospitals came back negative for contaminants. Health and Hospitals officials demed the water safe for consumption.

“Our staff has worked diligently since Saturday to make sure our LaPlace residents’ water is safe to drink,” said Parish President Natalie Robottom. “We’d like to thank the residents for their patience and cooperation in taking all the necessary precautions.”
