RPH welcomes Joyce Neville

River Parishes Hospital welcomed Joyce Neville, RN, BSN, as its new Chief Nursing Officer.

Neville has been serving as the hospital’s interim chief nursing officer for the past several months. She brings with her more than 25 years of nursing leadership experience. Since 1992 she has worked at River Parishes Hospital’s sister hospital, Acadian Medical Center. She first joined Acadian as a staff nurse in the intensive care unit and was promoted to intensive care unit director in 2001. She was then promoted to chief nursing officer in 2005. Under her leadership, the hospital was recognized for a number of quality care and constituency satisfaction achievements, including Most Improved Overall Core Measure Score, Most Improved Physician Satisfaction Award and Division High Five Award.

“Joyce is very passionate about quality and customer service,” said Charlotte Dupré, chief executive officer at River Parishes Hospital. “She has a proven track record of building teams and enhancing satisfaction. I had the pleasure of working with Joyce at Acadian Medical Center and look forward to having the opportunity to work with her again here at River Parishes.”

Neville received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill., and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in health care administration at the University of St. Francis in Joliet.

A native of Eunice, Neville and her husband will be moving to LaPlace.
