Nominations sought for teacher appreciation

Got a favorite teacher? Let us know about them.
It’s virtually impossible to put an accurate value on the wisdom and guidance imparted upon children from a teacher. A good teacher is a priceless treasure to the community he or she serves.
In an effort to show local teachers just how much they mean to the community, L’Observateur is holding its sixth annual “Teacher Appreciation Program” later this month.
With the help of our advertisers, L’Observateur has contributed thousands of dollars to local teachers through this program, which is open to all teachers in public and private schools in the River Parishes.
If you would like to nominate a teacher, send us their name, the grade they teach, where they teach and a brief explanation of why you think that teacher should be considered. Please include your name and phone number for verification. Send all nominations via e-mail to lobnews@bellsouth.net, or mail to 116 Newspaper Drive, LaPlace, LA, 70068.
All nominated teachers will be recognized, and four will receive a monetary award to use in their classrooms.
