Comets roll over Thomas Jefferson

LAPLACE — St. Charles took care of business Friday night, defeating Thomas Jefferson 56-0 on the Comets’ homecoming night in LaPlace.

SCC outgained Thomas Jefferson 300-27 in total yardage on the night.

Marcus Hall scored two touchdowns on the night, including the first, an 11-yard first quarter run. Donnie Savoie threw two first quarter touchdown passes, one to John Wood (26 yards) and the next to Sammy Miller (18 yards). Lazedrick Thompson also scored from 31 yards away, and eighth grader Ahmani Martin scored twice for St. Charles (8-1, 5-1)

Defensively a number of Comets shined, including Ross Authement, who forced two turnovers.

SCC led 49-0 at halftime and 28-0 after the first quarter.
