Frederick G. “Freddie or Fru” Waguespack, 80, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at River Parishes Hospital.
He was retired from Shell Oil as a maintenance supervisor after 42 years of service. A veteran of the United States Navy in the Korean Conflict, he was a member of the American Legion Spillway Post 195, Knights of Columbus, the Yard Boys of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco Civic Association and the Lions Club.
He was the husband of his late wife of 47 years, Norine Lillian Brownell Waguespack, and his wife of eight years, Louise Marie Brady Templet Waguespack. He was the father of six daughters: Noreen “Reenie” Logreco (John), Catherine Waguespack, Kathleen W. Moak (Aure-land), Patricia W. Gottung (Paul), Eilene W. Pruett (Mike) and Winnie W. Muery (Ross).
He had five brothers: Norman and Edmund Waguespack, the late George Waguespack, the late Hubert Waguespack and the late Baby Louis Waguespack; three sisters: Marie W. Rome, the late Mabel W. Webre, and the late Winnie W. Blanyer; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation and services were held on Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco. Entombment followed in the St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum in Destrehan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Legion Spillway Post 195, 424 Clayton Drive, Norco, LA 70079.
