St. John the Baptist Parish President Natalie Robottom waves to one of the first motorists to drive over the newly repaired Country Club Drive Bridge in LaPlace. The bridge re-opened Monday morning after being shut down for four months for a $441,000 repair job. With the completion of the Country Club Bridge, work will now begin today on a similar project to repair the Greenwood Drive Bridge in front of LaPlace Elementary School. That project is expected to be done before the new school year begins on Aug. 8.
