LaPlace — Blessed to be a Blessing, a non-profit organization managed and operated by Eliza Eugene, will host the Moneywise Empowerment Tour on Saturday, May 21. The Moneywise Empowerment Tour provides financial seminars in underserved communities across the country. The tour is an official outreach program of the “Moneywise with Kelvin Boston” public television series and has engaged more than 30,000 consumers and military members in the United States, Japan, Korea, Europe, Spain and Bahrain.

This free, motivational tour features an opening presentation, “From Economic Distress, To Financial Success,” by Kelvin Boston and results oriented workshops on: foreclosure prevention, credit repair, money management, home ownership, small business development, free legal counsel, succession, laws that govern the assessor’s office, property taxes and assessment and where do your tax dollars go? Featured presenters include representatives from E*TRADE, FDIC, St. John Assessor’s Office, River Region Chamber of Commerce, the US Small Business Administration, Neighbor Works America and ICMA-RC.

“Few Americans have the opportunity to attend a money management seminar. All day wealth-building seminars like ours are often too expensive, and rarely relate to our economic interests nor are they held in our communities,” said Boston. “I am glad that the Moneywise Empowerment Tour provides critical financial information that can help all American households improve and protect their financial well-being,” he continued.

This valuable financial seminar is free and open to the public. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the YMCA located at 1921 W. Airline Highway, LaPlace. Space is limited and attendees are encouraged to registrar online at http://www.rsvpbook.com/
