LAPLACE – Louisiana Federal Credit Union was recently honored with a Diamond Award, which recognizes outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry.
The award was presented by the Credit Union National Association Marketing and Business Development Council, a national network comprised of nearly 1,000 credit union marketing and business development professionals. Awards are given in categories ranging from advertising to community events and beyond.
Louisiana FCU won the financial education category for its entry, entitled Finance Fest.
Finance Fest is an annual event for the students of East St. John High School where the Credit Union’s in-school branch is located. This one-day event promotes financial literacy in a fun setting by incorporating hands on activities for the students to engage in. Finance Fest teaches students ways to save, borrow, and make smart money decisions. Students are also exposed to the advantages of credit union membership and learn how Louisiana FCU can help them reach their financial goals.
