Melvin H. Wright, 86, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Bonnie Hoffpauir Wright; three children, twins Melynie Wright of LaPlace and Sherian Comeaux of Baton Rouge and son Ken Wright; and a devoted sister-in-law, Ann Carney. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother, Ira Wright of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

Wright was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Metairie. He worked in motion pictures and print photography for many years. He was a man who could fix anything, and he had an incredible sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a memorial service at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service.
