For the past two years the Belle Terre Civic Association promoted within their community a judging of the yards from April through October. A winner in announced each month with special recognition and

a small award in appreciation of the homeowner’s pride in their property and community. The final award winner for 2011 was just announced. They are Gregory and Jan Bourgeois of 2137 Augusta Drive.

Upcoming events for the civic association will be a Halloween house-decorating contest between the subdivision residents. Cash prizes will be awarded for the first three best-decorated properties. The judging will be held several day prior to Halloween.

In addition, the civic association will be gathering non-perishable food items for the St. John Ministry of Care on Saturday, Dec. 3 between 10 a.m.-

noon and holding a Christmas house-

decorating contest between the subdivision residents with cash prizes to be awarded to the first three best decorated properties (judging to be held the week prior to Christmas).
