Girl Scout Juniors in a Luling troop recently earned the Girl Scout Bronze Award, the highest award a registered Girl Scout Junior in grades four and five can achieve. Earning the Girl Scout Bronze Award exemplifies a Girl Scout’s commitment to helping others and making a difference in their community. Earning the Girl Scout Bronze award requires the completion of a series of leadership challenges and a “take action” project with a minimum of 20 hours spent building their team, exploring the community, choosing their project, planning it, putting the plan in motion and spreading the word about the project.

Girl Scouts Bronze Award recipients Jessica Brown, Madalin Costella, Tatum Dugas, Remi Mato, Sydni Pagne, Madison Torres, Lakynn Tregre, Madelyn Williams and Emily Zeringue of Girl Scout Junior Troop 21346 put their organizational skills to good use by organizing a large room of props for their local performing arts and cultural center, the River Region Drama Guild. Project advisor was Linda Dugas.
