LAPLACE – The St. John the Baptist Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness  announced a series of four hurricane preparedness meetings in various locations across the parish. The meetings will provide residents with information about hurricane preparedness and list important steps to take prior to a hurricane.

Meeting dates and locations are as follows:

• Thursday, June 6 – 6:30 p.m. at the Garyville Fire Station, 418 W. Main St., Garyville
• Monday, June 10 – 6:30 p.m. at the Reserve Library, 170 W. 10th St., Reserve
• Wednesday, June 12 – 6:30 p.m. at the West Bank Community Center, 173 E. 3rd St., Edgard
• Thursday, June 13 – 6:30 p.m. at the Main Library, 2920 Hwy 51, LaPlace
