Jessica “Jessie” Boudreaux Packer, 36, was born Oct. 20, 1977, and passed away Oct. 24, 2013. She was a native of Convent and St. Rose and a resident of Ama. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother and aunt and one who had a love of life and gave light to all she met.  
She is survived by her husband, Cyril Packer; son, Braedyn Alexander Packer; parents, Sue Hymel and Roger Boudreaux; and stepfather David Pena and stepmother Cathy Boudreaux. She is also survived by her sisters, Cynthia and Kayla Pena; stepbrother David Pena Banister; niece Dakota Aleman; nephews Emile Papy, Tremaine Martin, John Jackson and Sidney Jackson III; and grandmothers, Noelie Hymel and Helen Boudreaux; and nanny, Bernice Hymel Orbe.  
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Elmore Boudreaux and Joseph John Hymel, and uncle Elmore Boudreaux Jr.
Visitation and services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Convent. Burial was in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in St. Rose.
