Local boy scouts winners

Boy Scout of America Troop 312 located in LaPlace recently won first place in the 2013 Pelican District Camporee. The scouts competed as patrols on events such as first aid skills, canoeing, swimming, knot tying, GPS tracking and many others. In the end, Troop 312 won first place among 17 competing patrols, first place in tug-a-war and who recognized for its scouting spirit. This is the second time in three years Troop 312 has won first place.
