Suspected purse snatcher caught

LAPLACE – On Thursday, Dec. 12, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Andrika Duhe, 26, of Stout Lane in Garyville on a judicial court ordered arrest warrant.
Duhe was charged with purse snatching and simple battery.
On Nov. 27, deputies responded to the 2900 block of Louisiana Highway 44 in Garyville, the
Fast Stop, for the
report of a theft. The complainant, a 29-year-old female from LaPlace, told deputies that Duhe encountered her in a physical altercation, took her purse and fled the scene in a vehicle.
The victim reported to deputies that her purse contained identification and bankcards, a cellphone and charger and cash. She sustained abrasions and scratches during the altercation but refused medical attention.
Detectives sought, obtained and executed a judicial court ordered arrest warrant for Duhe. Her bond was $1,750. She was bonded out on Friday with a $205 cash bond.
Duhe has been arrested 28 times in St. John the Baptist Parish since January 2005. Three of six bookings included felony charges, and 22 arrests were by misdemeanor summons for attachments or contempt of court.
