Noel Duhe’s kindergarten class, at Fifth Ward Elementary in Reserve celebrated Read Across America Day on March 1. This day both celebrates Dr. Seuss’ birthday and promotes childhood literacy. The children are learning about the Cat in the Hat and words that rhyme. The day also featured “celebrity” readers such as St. John Parish President Natalie Robottom and St. John Sheriff Mike Tregre.
