Elaine Carter Stine, 86, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013.
She was the beloved wife of the late Oliver Stine, beloved mother of Fr. Robert Stine, Lynn Taravella, Theresa Stine and Laurie Finger (Donald), beloved grandmother of Delaney Colombo (Dwayne), Cicely Taravella, Carly Baxter (Jason), Amanda Lowe (George), Katie Howard, Megan Finger, Nathaniel Finger and Olivia Finger, beloved great-grandmother of Mallory Colombo and Alexandra Lowe, daughter of the late Eugene and Jeanne Poche Carter and sister of Theresa Gascon and the late Sister Laura Carter, Eugene Carter, Marie Ann Carter, Majorie Mackles and Charles Carter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of LaPlace.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend services. Visitation will be held at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, 1809 Greenwood, LaPlace, on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery of New Orleans. Arrangements are by Millet-Guidry Funeral Home of LaPlace.
