The Keep St. James Parish Beautiful Board combines education and litter prevention to make the parish a cleaner and greener place to live.
The annual Trash Bash will be held Saturday, March 2, from 8 a.m. until noon. The clean up originates in two areas. On the west bank, registration is in Vacherie at the Courthouse Annex. The Welcome Center in Gramercy will be the site for registration on the east bank.
At these sites, participants will be given an assigned area to be cleaned, and “trash pickers” will be loaned out to make the work easier.
