St. Charles Parish to host veterans luncheon on Nov. 7

- Veterans from all wars of recent memory are represented, and plaques commemorate the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard.

St. Charles Parish President Matthew Jewell and Sheriff Greg Champagne will host the annual Veterans Day Luncheon on Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center, located at 274 Judge Edward Dufresne Parkway in Luling.
All St. Charles Parish veterans and their spouses are invited to a brief program in the gymnasium at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch. This year’s guest speaker is U.S. Navy veteran and Superintendent of the St. Charles Parish Public School System, Dr. Ken Oertling.
Photos of St. Charles Parish veterans will be showcased in a video at the event. Veterans are encouraged to submit service photos, along with their name, branch, and rank, to publicinfo@stcharlesgov.net by Monday, Nov. 4.
