Joseph “Jack” Cyril Couty Sr. passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the age of 87. He was born in New Orleans, La., was a resident of LaPlace, La. and was a former member of Bayou Street Rods.

Beloved husband of the late Katherine Wallace Couty. Loving father of Joseph Couty Jr. (the late Sharon by first marriage and the late Mona by second marriage), Mark Couty (Sherri), Cynthia C. Webre (the late Kevin) and Denton Couty (Vickie). Grandfather of Ian Couty, Vicki Couty Millien, Bonnie Couty Bourgeois, Kevin Webre and Gary Webre. Son of the late Eunice Ourso Couty and Joseph Couty. Brother of Ruby Barnett. Also survived by 10 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2130 Rectory St., Paulina on Thursday, May 2, 2024. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m.
