St. Rose Elementary School has collaborated with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) through the Net Generation School program to encourage tennis among students. This initiative provides the school with tennis equipment and aims to build enthusiasm for the sport from an early age.
The partnership delivers a comprehensive set of tennis rackets, balls, and other necessary supplies, allowing students to learn and enjoy tennis during physical education classes. The program emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and the health benefits of regular physical activity.
Mrs. Alissa Cadella’s third-grade class is actively participating in the program, including students Brooklyn Clay, Azaya Augustine, Leia Walker, Heysell Aguilar Melgar, Kenneth Allen, Tyler Ricks, Noah Sharpe, Jayred Urbina, Daniel Augustin, Lincoln Cross, Rana Shah Waiz, Carson Dennis, Jairo Licona, Clayton Simpson, Liam Chauvin, and Coach Jacob Thompson. This engagement in tennis aims to instill lifelong habits of health, fitness, and community involvement among students.
