St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives seek assistance in locating juvenile wanted for murder of LaPlace man

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance as a result of a shooting that occurred Tuesday, November 14, 2023, around 2:20 p.m. in the 500 block of Turtle Creek Lane in St. Rose, LA.
Deputies were dispatched to the area around 2:23 p.m. based on the report of someone shooting down the street. While deputies were enroute, another caller reported someone was shot and located inside a vehicle at River Road and St. Rose Avenue in St. Rose.
When deputies arrived at the victim’s location, they located a male who was shot multiple times in the leg and torso. He was transported by St. Charles Parish EMS to an area hospital for medical treatment, but later succumbed to his injuries.
The victim is identified as Keron Khalil Briggs, a 25-year-old male from the LaPlace area.
Witnesses reported Keron Briggs was standing outside a vehicle and involved in a verbal altercation with an acquaintance prior to the shooting.
Through investigation, detectives obtained sufficient probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant for Marco Henry Henderson, a sixteen-year-old male from the St. Rose area. Marco Henderson is described as a dark-complected black male, 5’8” tall, 165 lbs with a slim build. Henderson is wanted for 2nd Degree Murder.
This is an ongoing active investigation.
