The St. Charles Parish Department of Public Works will work with Barriere Construction to continue asphalt resurfacing work around the parish this week.  Local roads will be improved by a fresh mill and overlay as part of St. Charles Parish’s Road Maintenance Program.   

Those affected by the work will be notified via door hanger at residences before starting, requesting that vehicles be removed from the road to allow Barriere Construction to perform the job.       

Below are the areas where the work will take place this week:    

Monday, October 16 

·         Rose Street in Hahnville  

·         General Taylor Drive in Hahnville 

Tuesday, October 17 

·         Smith Street in Hahnville  

·         Gourgues Street in Hahnville 

·         Pecan Street in Hahnville 

Wednesday, October 18 

·         Pony Lane in St. Rose 

·         Opal Lane in St. Rose 

·         St. Francis Street in Destrehan 

·         St. Paul Street in Destrehan 

Thursday, October 19 

·         Ruth Street in Destrehan 

·         Short Street in Norco 

·         Clayton Drive in Norco 

Work on the remaining streets scheduled for this year will be announced as Barriere Construction prepares to begin work in that area. Emergency vehicles will be able to pass. The asphalt work schedule is weather permitting, and the schedule is subject to change.
