GARYVILLE — My name is Cherronna C. Frank, and I am pleased to announce my candidacy for St. John the Baptist Parish Councilwoman District 2. I am the daughter of Bishop Ronald and Cherry Burl Frank. I’m proud to call Garyville, LA my home. I am a proud graduate of:
- East St. John High School Class of 2000
- Dillard University of New Orleans, LA – Bachelor of Science in Sociology
- Louisiana State University – Certificate of Paralegal Studies
- Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service – Certificate of Mortuary Science
- Louisiana State University Shreveport – Masters of Nonprofit Administration
I was employed at St. John the Baptist School Board, working in the fiscal department as well as the child nutrition department and Metropolitan Dialysis Center. I am a member of Milesville Memorial Church of God in Christ, where I serve as Assistant Pastor and participate in several ministries, including the youth, women, and music ministries. I am a member of the St. John the Baptist Parish Democratic Parish Executive Committee, where I serve as secretary. I am a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
As a lifelong resident of St. John the Baptist Parish, I have great respect for the work that our council has done and continues to do. I want to amplify the voices of the community members in District 2. I realize that to be a council member is to be a voice for the people. Serving as councilwoman for District 2 would mean WE, the citizens of District 2 are serving, not I. If elected, I intend to be transparent, accountable, competent, and trustworthy. I intend to support all the residents of District 2, not just special groups. I also intend to foster development and beautification in District 2. I will work with the Parish President, other elected officials, the council, staff, and citizens to address both the challenges and opportunities in District 2. I am committed to making a difference not only in District 2 but in St. John the Baptist Parish as a whole. I will be your listening ear as well as your voice. A vote for FRANK is a vote for Progress. If your voting location is Garyville/Mt. Airy Math and Science Magnet School, St. Peter Catholic School, or East St. John High School, then you’re in the right district! Please consider voting for me! I humbly ask for your VOTE in this upcoming election. “It is time for something new in District 2.”
