I am both humbled and excited to officially announce my candidacy for St. John Parish Council District #7 seat.
I look forward to representing everyone in District 7 of St. John fairly. I will run a positive campaign, one in which I will display integrity and honesty in all my interactions and treat all that I encounter with dignity and respect. It will be a great privilege to serve my community on the parish council. I will do so by listening openly to the concerns of all our community members with the goal of building a better, stronger St. John community.
I am not running against anyone; I am running to work with other elected officials and the parish president in order to better serve the citizens of St. John and District 7.
A brief snapshot of initiatives that I am committed to:
- Partnering with the Army Corps of Engineers to complete the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Levee project to protect homeowners, businesses and schools in our community against storm damage.
- Explore grants and other initiatives to increase recreation opportunities for our kids, including adult programs and senior recreational activities.
- Aggressively work to improve our parish’s infrastructure, which is vital to large-scale economic development.
- Collaborating with Louisiana Economic Development (LED), business and industry partners, and federal agencies to dramatically improve workforce development, support our small businesses, attract new businesses, and increase new high paying job opportunities in our community.
- Connecting the youth and young adults in St. John with local government, churches and schools to create initiatives for all parties to work together to add value to the community.
With your vote, we can win together and create a better St. John the Baptist Parish for the future.
