Lifelong LaPlace resident and Ochsner healthcare administrator, Dervon Davis will seek the St. John the Baptist Parish District 6 Council seat during the October 14 primary election.
Mr. Davis, a lifelong resident of District 6, is committed to being a responsive, effective, and positive representative for the residents of District 6. Some of his goals will be to address drainage problems including pursuing elevation grants, assisting with the continued growth of recreation programs, fostering economic development, and working together with all elected officials and residents to get things done.
Davis’s experience with hospital policy, financial statements, and managing teams will make him a dependable steward of taxpayer funds as a parish council member.
“I am passionate about serving the people of District 6, where I have lived my entire life,” Davis said. “I plan to bring a unique perspective to help tackle the issues that matter most.” Mr. Davis holds a bachelor of science degree from Southern University and A&M College and a master of business administration degree in healthcare management from Capella University.
