Mrs. Dolores/Delores Millet, 89 years old, of Hammond, Louisiana, died Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Mr. Lionel J. “L.J.” Millet.

She was born on Monday, November 27, 1933, in LaPlace, Louisiana, and was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana. After high school, Dolores worked for Kaiser Aluminum in Gramercy, which is where she met her future husband, Lionel, while commuting to work. Dolores devoted her life to her husband, Lionel, and helped him run his many business endeavors. Besides that, she was a wonderful hostess and always took pride in her home being beautifully decorated.

Dolores was the daughter of the late Lucian and Albertine Perilloux.

She was survived by her brothers, James Brent Perilloux (Madge) and Leonard Perilloux (Judy); sisters-in-law, Rose Marie Perilloux (Calvin Perilloux), Carmen Perilloux (Ronald Perilloux), and Tina Perilloux (Raymond Perilloux), and her dear friend, Judy Millet, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Dolores is preceded in death by her sister, Anna Mae Schutz (John); brothers, Calvin Perilloux, Ronald Perilloux, and Raymond Perilloux (Evelyn).

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Funeral Service will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home – Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 11:00 am, with Deacon Nat Garofalo officiating.

Interment will follow at Rose Memorial Park Mausoleum in Hammond, Louisiana.
