Detectives seeking assistance regarding shooting in Boutte

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance for information on a shooting that occurred Saturday, July 1, 2023, around 11:15 P.M. in the 300 block of River Ridge Drive in Boutte, LA.
Deputies were dispatched to the area around 11:15 P.M. based on the report of a fight at a party. While they were enroute, deputies learned a male had been shot and left the location to go to the hospital.
When deputies arrived at the location, they observed several vehicles fleeing the area.
Through investigation, detectives have learned that two females at the party were fighting. The fight was broken up and partygoers were told to leave. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and people started running from the location.
The twenty-year-old male victim was located at a local hospital with three non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the bicep, abdomen, and waist side.
This is an ongoing active investigation.
