LUTCHER — Beacon Behavioral Hospital held a meet and greet at its Lutcher, Louisiana location on April 26. Community members and hospital staff attended the event, where they met Scott Tranchina, the newly appointed administrator, and Luis Betances, senior vice president of inpatient services. The event was a success, with attendees taking away a greater understanding of the hospital’s goals and services. Moreover, the staff was available to answer any questions that arose.

The facility works hard to be available to everyone and accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance. This allows them to provide quality care to those who might not otherwise afford it.

The inpatient program is designed to provide short-term, acute treatment for adults and seniors suffering from depression and other mood disorders, psychosis, suicidal preoccupation, a major decline in functioning, and cognitive changes due to mental illness.
