In a bittersweet moment, on March 22, 2023, Doyleen Broussard House, 80, gained her wings after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born to the late Lloyd J. Broussard, Sr., and Audrey Cox on March 5, 1943, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Doyleen graduated from East Jefferson High School in 1960 and from Meadows Draughon Business College in 1961.

Doyleen was feisty and talented with a creative spirit. She sewed, designed beautiful dance costumes for her granddaughter, crocheted, quilted, painted, and studied interior design. She enjoyed listening to live music and going dancing on Sunday afternoons with her beloved husband of 61years Linton Q. House, Sr.

She is survived by her loving children Shawn (Lori) House Sr, Stephanie House, grandchildren Shawn “Michael” House, Jr., Alexandra House, Lacy Hargrove (Brandon) Buckhault, Lorel House, Ian House, Gabrielle House and great grandchildren Layla Hargrove and Preston Hargrove. She is also survived by her sister Beverly (Alan) Hailey, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Doyleen was preceded in death by her son Linton House, Jr., and brother Lloyd J. Broussard, Jr.

Doyleen will be honored by her loved ones with a private celebration of life.
