The Kenner Police Department has taken strides to increase its manpower and presence during hours which have seen an increase in property crimes and suspicious behavior.𝘼 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙮 𝙛𝙖𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮. Below is an example of some of the great police work our KPD is doing, these cases were made within 3 hours of each other.
On February 28 at around 10 p.m. a Kenner Police Officer stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of Loyola for various traffic violations. Upon further investigation the officer located over 𝟽𝟶 𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚖𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚖𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚓𝚞𝚊𝚗𝚊, 𝚊 𝚍𝚒𝚐𝚒𝚝𝚊𝚕 𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚕𝚎, 𝚋𝚊𝚐𝚐𝚒𝚎𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚊 𝚂𝚖𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚆𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚘𝚗 𝟿𝚖𝚖 𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚐𝚞𝚗 (pictured). Nicholas Giovanni from Kenner was arrested for drug, gun and traffic charges. Officers are investigating the ownership of the gun.
At around midnight, an officer stopped a vehicle for traffic violations in the 2100 block of Airline Drive in Kenner, the officer developed cause and with the assistance of K-9 Muk discovered the driver to be in possession of 𝚖𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚖𝚙𝚑𝚎𝚝𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚎, 𝚜𝚞𝚋𝚘𝚡𝚘𝚗𝚎, 𝚍𝚒𝚊𝚣𝚎𝚙𝚊𝚖 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚙𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚗𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚊. The driver was charged with traffic offenses, and for drug and drug paraphernalia possession. She was identified as Claire Quinn from River Ridge. A passenger in the vehicle was arrested on 𝚘𝚙𝚎𝚗 𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚊𝚌𝚑𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚜 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚗𝚊𝚛𝚌𝚘𝚝𝚒𝚌𝚜 𝚟𝚒𝚘𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚜𝚒𝚖𝚙𝚕𝚎 𝚋𝚞𝚛𝚐𝚕𝚊𝚛𝚢. He was identified as Michael Constant Puderer from Jefferson.
Around the same time, in the 3100 block of Arkansas Avenue, Kenner a Sergeant from the patrol division in a “𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘬” moment, conducted a traffic stop which resulted in the arrest of the driver, Dai Ngo from Metairie for being in possession of over 𝟹𝟶 𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚖𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚖𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚖𝚙𝚑𝚎𝚝𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚎 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚊 𝚍𝚒𝚐𝚒𝚝𝚊𝚕 𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚕𝚎. The passenger, Colin Hedgepeth of Metairie was also found to be in possession of 𝚖𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚖𝚙𝚑𝚎𝚝𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚎, 𝚖𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚓𝚞𝚊𝚗𝚊 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚊𝚙𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚗𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚊.
