Overview:
WHAT: SLIGHT RISK and ENHANCED RISK of Severe Weather
WHEN: Thursday night
WHERE: All of southeast LA and southwestern and coastal MS
CONFIDENCE:
- Confidence is high that a strong disturbance will bring severe weather to much of the Lower MS Valley Thursday night with a narrow line of storms expected to move across the area. However, there is considerable uncertainty in how far south severe storms will occur.
Impacts:
The main threats associated with any severe storms will be:
Damaging Winds:

Wind gusts greater than 60 mph will be possible
Tornadoes:

A few tornadoes will be possible
Heavy rainfall is not as much of a concern with the likelihood of the line of storms being fairly narrow, progressive, and weakening.
