DESTREHAN — Child Advocacy Services (CAS) is making a BIG move to serve more children! CAS will be serving the entire River Parish Region in a new location. This new site will allow CAS to better offer a wider range of services for children and families locally. The River Region staff will now provide services at one location at 13726 River Road Suite 100 in Destrehan.
CAS made the decision to relocate its total capacity in the River Region to a single site and office. Prior to Hurricane Ida, CAS housed offices in LaPlace and Luling. However, like many in the area, severe damage claimed the office in LaPlace. Considering this added to the overall decision to combine our River Region team into one location. Staff identified a location and office being renovated on River Road in Destrehan. This new location provides better visibility than ever and presents itself as child-friendly and inviting.
CAS will continue to provide all services that were offered through both offices before the move. This includes operating the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Program, providing community-based prevention education services, as well as counseling and mental health services.
“Our staff and board of directors are so excited to take our next steps in the River Region to better serve children and families. We have served St. Charles and St. John Parishes for over 20 years. We believe the people who serve and the places we serve from are two critical ingredients to the overall success of serving children!” Rob Carlisle, CEO Child Advocacy Services.
Through our CASA program, Child Advocacy Services is proudly representing children in the 10 Parish area we serve, which includes Ascension, Assumption, East Feliciana, Livingston, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John, Tangipahoa and West Feliciana. Now more than ever, we need you. Change a child’s story in 2022 by becoming a CASA volunteer with Child Advocacy Services.
