Sophisticated Hospitality Group announces opening of new concept: Cloud9

DESTREHAN — Executive Chef Natasha Clement and Managing Partner Buddy Boe are set to open Cloud9 Restaurant and Bar and the Silver Lining event space inside Cypress Lakes Country Club in Destrehan. Events will start being held in the Silver Lining in September, the bar and bar menu will begin October 5th and the full lunch menu will roll out in November. Cloud9 was the name attributed to the bar inside SHG’s Santos; but, the namesake will now transfer to the new concept.

The group’s goal is to create a fun lunch & bar menu perfect for all… the experienced golfer, the small business meeting and the weekly ladies lunch group by making fun southern dishes with a little sophistication, flare and big flavors! The crafted cocktail list and wines is sure to please every palate. Cloud 9 will have everything from sweet and spicy appetizers, traditional sandwiches with a twist, sauces with a kick, poolside snacks, fresh filling ingredients and a whole lot of classics with attitude. With the recent expansion of the club’s gym space, Cloud9’s menu feature protein packed options and stay tuned for an exciting pool menu launching May 2023!

“As the Chef, my approach with Cloud 9 opening is about “rebirth” and dedication to reconnecting the people of the River Parishes with delicious, new and fun food served in a quintessential southern atmosphere with a fresh new beautiful look,” said Clement.

Silver Lining, the name of the club’s private event space, can host groups as small as 20 in a private dining room, up to 125 reception style and up to 200 with a complete buy out of the entire space. With three kitchens to support catering operations, the catering wing of SHG, Sophisticated Southern Plates, is ready to host your event or bring the food to you!

“Despite the challenges facing restaurants around the globe, we feel strongly about the future of the region and look forward to continue providing opportunities for family, friends, and colleagues to make memories while enjoying a meal at one of our concepts,” said Boe.

The Sophisticated Hospitality Group was formed by Boe and Clement in 2020 with Boe’s family restaurant, Buddy B’s, and Clement’s private catering company, Sophisticated Southern Plates. In 2021, the SHG launched SANTOS in Luling, opening merely one week before Hurricane Ida decimated the region. After being closed for a month, Santos and Buddy B’s reopened and emerged in 2022 stronger and ready to grow. Cloud9 and the Silver Lining represent the next step: a sophisticated lunch spot with an event space for Sophisticated Southern Plates to call home.

Natasha was a former contestant on MasterChef Season 6 and a contestant and WINNER of Food Network’s All Star Academy Season 2 under the tutelage of Chef Robert Irvine. Buddy owns Invictus Solutions and Invictus Properties. Additionally, Buddy is the managing partner of Invictus Cypress Enterprises, Sophisticated Hospitality Group, Invictus Cypress Properties and Monaco Land Development.
