St. Joan of Arc Catholic School held Nursery Rhyme Time for its preschool and kindergarten students recently. The students and their parents rotated through the classrooms where teachers led activities related to nursery rhymes. Each station included an activity for the children to complete with their parents’ assistance. Joshua Taylor is creating a pig from basic shapes with his mom and dad after reciting “This Little Piggy.” Other activities included making a spider snack for “Itsy, Bitsy Spider” and making a colorful staff for “Little Bo Peep.” A rhyming activity was completed for “Hey, Diddle Diddle,” and a story writing activity for “Humpty, Dumpty.”
