LAPLACE — A new one-stop print shop is in the process of opening in LaPlace in the coming weeks, offering the community custom t-shirts, accessories and more.

“Fear Not Printing & Supplies” is owned by Dinez and Louis Walker, who were both born and raised in Louisiana before moving to Atlanta, Georgia in 2016.

“After Hurricane Ida, we came down here more often than we usually come to help our parents with their homes after the flood. They lost everything,” Dinez said.

While staying in Louisiana, the Walkers faced trouble with their online printing business based in Georgia.

“We’ve always had our online business, but we had to cancel orders and we couldn’t really fulfill many orders being out here because we didn’t have everything we needed,” Dinez said.

The Walkers decided to bring their business to St. John Parish.

“Fear Not Printing & Supplies” will be open for business no later than August 1, but could open during the last week of July at the earliest.

“As far as the business, what we do is customize T-shirts in stock, plain t-shirts from Gildan, Anvil, different types of brand T-shirts and tanks and accessories and so on,” Louis said.

Customers will be able to choose which brand of T-shirt to have their design printed on. Services will be available to anyone interested, including T-shirts and accessories for parties and events.

“If you have a family reunion, you can basically come to that one-stop and get it all, from the T-shirts, to the vinyl, to heat press,” Louis said. “Anything that you need.”

“Fear Not Printing & Supplies” will provide service for small orders for individuals as well as big orders for businesses.

“We’ll also be servicing the small businesses here as well who need to be able to fulfill their orders,” Dinez said. “They have a lot of young entrepreneurs who are now doing T-shirts and other custom items, so they’ll be able to come to us to get the things they need to get started.”

As of right now, the Walkers are working on their first big project in St. John Parish before their shop has even opened.

“One of our biggest things we’re dealing with right now is school uniforms in the local area,” Louis said. “We’re going to start off mostly with St. John Parish first.”
