LAPLACE — AT&T announced that the LaPlace retail location at 400 W. Airline Road has officially reopened to customers. In addition, the company announced new investments in the company’s wired and wireless networks.
These investments are bringing AT&T Fiber to more than 350 new businesses and residents in the community, adding them to the many other areas of the community that already have access to AT&T’s multi-gig offerings. Customers can stay up to date on when AT&T Fiber is available to their address through att.com/notifyme.
In addition, the company has expanded and enhanced access to wireless connectivity in the area by launching new cell sites that help give residents and first responders faster, more reliable wireless service. These investments expand 5G and LTE coverage and will help customers get the most out of their mobile devices.
“AT&T has a long history of investing in our community, and here at the start of hurricane season, these investments are critical for area residents and businesses,” said Parish President Jaclyn Hotard.
“The residents of LaPlace have shown tremendous resiliency over the past few months, following the tremendous impacts from Hurricane Ida this past fall, and that same resiliency and commitment to the strength of the community is evident in these investments by AT&T,” said State Senator Ed Price.
“While AT&T’s work in our community has been evident for months and years, re-opening these doors offers more proof that they are open for business and invested in our city,” said Councilman At-Large Michael P. Wright.
AT&T knows how important it is for our customers to stay connected. That’s why the company is focused on boosting network reliability and capacity as we expand our network nationwide. This helps residents get the best possible experience over the AT&T network where they live, work and play, as well as supporting public safety on FirstNet®– the only network built with and for America’s first responders.
“We are continually working to help close the digital divide by expanding our fiber footprint and delivering ultra-fast internet that keeps residents and businesses connected,” said Eric Jones, regional director, AT&T Louisiana. “We are committed to investing in the modern, high-speed network infrastructure necessary in today’s economy, and at the same time, we live here, and our retail location here is critical to bringing service and support closer to our customers.”
