SCSO investigates attempted armed robbery of payday loan location

On May 31, 2022 just before 6 p.m. the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to 13413 Highway 90 in Boutte, American Cash Advance Payday Loans.
The initial 911 call stated that a black male subject entered the business and attempted to commit a robbery. The employee safely fled the store and immediately contacted 911.
The subject was described by the victim as a darker complected black male, approximately 5’10” tall. He is believed to be in his late 20’s to early 30’s in age and was wearing dark colored blue jeans, a light color blue shirt and a surgical mask.
